~iPod (5th Gen) 20gb, 30gb, 40gb, 60gb or 80gb - also known as iPod with Video, iPod Photo, iPod with Color Display or iPod Special Edition U2
You can identify these iPods by their plastic front face (vs. the aluminum front face on the iPod Classic models)~iPod Classic (6th Gen) 80gb or 160gb
You can distinguish the iPod classic from the iPod (5th Gen) or the iPod Classic (7th Gen) by the last three digits of the serial number. The iPod Classic (6th Gen) serial number's last three digits will be one of the following: Y5N, YMU, YMV, or YMX.~iPod Classic (7th Gen) 120gb or 160gb
